Mad Hatter Kitchen Tea

Busy weekend  again, Mad Hatters / Alice in Wonderland cake for a bachelorette party, Corset cake for a bachelorette party and Transformers cake and cupcakes for a 6th Birthday party. 

Mad Hatters Cake

 4 Tier semi topsy turvy cake,  Bottom tier is chocolate sponge with chocolate butter cream icing and top three tiers are vanilla sponge with vanilla butter cream icing.

Chocolate Mud Cake covered with chocolate ganache and iced with sugar paste.

Vanilla sponge cake filled and iced with vanilla butter cream icing and covered with sugar paste.

Dora the Explorer

My youngest daughter turned 2 last week and as she's currently Dora the explorer mad, we decided to do a Dora themed party and cake.  Seeing as the family was all going to be here, the cake had to be adult friendly as well so the bottom layer was chocolate mudcake, filled and covered with chocolate ganache, middle layer was carrot cake filled and covered with cream cheese icing and the top layer was vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream icing.

Wanted to put Swiper on the cake as well, but with Tinkerbell, the Christening cake and a giant cupcake all on the same day, Swiper didn't quite materialise.  Maybe next time...

Tinkerbell's Teapot

Wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, usually do my teapots as purely decorative, made out of polystyrene, but this one was done with chocolate sponge.  All worked out fine though and I was rather pleased with the way Tinks little teapot house turned out.

Cake is chocolate sponge, filled and iced with chocolate buttercream then covered in sugar paste.  All decor, including Tink is modelling paste.

Looking at it now, I think I should have added some tufts of grass and smaller flowers with royal icing, just to add some texture to the cake, but overall, happy with the result.

Once again, it's been too long since I posted anything, been a busy bee with little one's birthday and all sorts of other things that just seem to eat up any spare time I have lurking around!

Made these cute little cupcakes for a Princess themed party, they had to be pink and lilac and sparkly and girly!

Then did these Michael Jackson cupcakes to go with an MJ image cake, classic vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream icing .

Last were the Kitty Cat cupcakes for a 30th birthday party, once again, vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream icing.

A client mailed me a photo of this amazing idea and I just had to give them a try!  I think they're just too gorgeous and such a stunning idea for a wedding, or as a little handout.  With Secretary's Day and Spring Day coming up, what better way to show a token of your appreciation than with a delectable cupcake, all packed up and pretty and ready to eat!

The cupcakes below are vanilla sponge with strawberry buttercream icing.

Cupcakes can be filled with any one of our delicious fillings before being topped off with either buttercream or ganache.  Imagine fluffy chocolate sponge, smothered in delectable chocolate truffle, or soft vanillla sponge, filled with strawberry preserve and covered in a rich vanilla buttercream frosting... The possibilities are endless!

Jars can be labelled with custom made labels to tie in with your function and colour co-ordinated to match your theme.
