Ahoy Me Hearties!

Well, I've just been given a serious talking to by my other neice because I haven't posted her birthday cake yet, so here you go Shan, hope I'm back in the good books! :-)

The pirate ship was chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate ganache and then covered in individual sugar paste planks.  The sails are made from sugar paste with printed icing sheets stuck over them with the lettering and the sand is brown sugar.  Pearls are made from sugar paste.  The treasure chest was made from sugar paste using a chocolate mould.

This next pirate cake was for a clients birthday and was vanilla sponge filled wtih vanilla butter cream icing, covered with sugar paste.
